     â–ºSpeaking in public does not come naturally to some people. This popular four-week teen acting program focuses on acting exercises, scene and character work, how to apply notes and direction to your work, self-taping techniques with feedback.

â–ºThe who, what, when, where, and whys 
â–ºProblem-solving techniques
â–ºimprovisation 1 and much more.


    â–ºActing for Teens will introduce the young actor to the understanding and breakdown of action/intention and character development. The actor will learn and understand how to play an action and breakdown a character through exercises and improvisation.


     â–º Acting classes teach teens to adapt to changing situations. This allows them to be less reactive when new things come up, and be more apt to accept change, flexibility and adaptability are highly sought-after skills in the working world, as well. This can give them an advantage, plus when it comes to getting a job.

   ★About the Instructor:

Lake Latimer’s passion for the performing arts began at an early age. She attended The Actors Studio in Memphis where she trained with American actor Red West and furthered her education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock earning a degree in Radio, Television, and Film.

Lake was cast by Craig Brewer for his breakout film "The Poor and Hungry" Which won top prizes at Hollywood Film Awards, Magnolia Independent Film Festival, and more. After an exciting career in broadcast news, she took time to focus on her children. Now she is back to teach your youth performer

One class per week
3 classes per month - $150

At the beginning of each month, students start a new rotational tier.  So no matter when a student starts classes. They will easily keep up with everyone!

 

improv games and scene work, students’ imaginations and creativity can blossom to their full potential. Students in our acting classes learn to create characters and trust their instincts. They build confidence while making new friends and developing independent thinking along the way.
