Each student will be taken through a rigorous process to create at least two of their own characters that will come from purely unique places (themselves!). Then, they will learn how to screenwrite like a pro with proper formatting, dialogue, and action technique.

 

Throughout the process, students will learn to analyze their own work and the works of others not only as screenwriters and peers, but as fellow filmmakers who can understand the film through the eyes of directors, cinematographers, editors, actors, etc. The goal of this workshop is to leave every student with their very own personalized script that any cinematographer will want to shoot and any actor will eagerly audition for.

Students must bring a laptop and notebook paper.
